All newsgroups make up what is called the "Usenet" part of the Internet. Newsgroups are online
discussion groups. Members of newsgroups talk to each other about specific subject categories. You can
eavesdrop on a newsgroup discussion without participating and privately send messages to respond to
another member of the newsgroup. To participate in newsgroups, you must use a tool in your browser
called a "news reader".
